Why Afghans leave Afghanistan??

These pictures are from my presentation that was about my homecountry Afghanistan.
It's about Afghanistan's geography, historical background, ethnic groups, religion and some reasons why Afghans leave Afghanistan and a short comparison of why Swedish people left Sweden at one time.
I concluded my presentation by telling why I left my homecountry.

This is a map of Afghanistan and it’s place on the world map.

Seven main ethnic groups live in Afghanistan. The circle shows the percent of each group. The largest group is Pashtun, with it’s 42% and the smallest is Baloch with it’s 2%.

The picture to the left shows the traditional outfits, of some group.

This circle shows the percent of the religious groups. The largest group with it’s 80% is the Sunni Muslims. The next largest group is the Shia Muslims with it’s 19%.

The people of Afghanistan, called Afghans, have been through 20 years of war. The Soviet Union invaded the country in 1979.

The Afghans drove the Soviets out, but then different Afghan groups fought each other for control of Afghanistan. In the end, a group called the Taliban took control of most of the country, but other groups continued to fight them.

At the end of 2001, the USA fought its War Against Terrorism in Afghanistan.

- There are many reasons why people leave Afghanistan. The main reason that people leave the country, is because of Taliban. They prevent the country and it’s people to develop. They don’t want people to study and become educated and they don’t want the country to become modern. that's also why the most people who leave the country are young people
- The other main reason is because of war and internal conflict within the country since 1978. People started to emigrate in 1978 when the Soviet Union came to the country, but in 1992 when the mujahedin came to power, it was the most devastating time in Afghan History, where they looted and killed many people and this is when a lot of people started to leave Afghanistan, either fleeing to neighbouring countries (Pakistan, Iran and Russia) or those who had money emigrated to the west.
- The internal conflicts between the ethnical groups is another reason why people leave the country. The people leaving the country are mostly from the smaller ethnic groups, for example Hazara and Uzbak people. They don’t have security and safety because people from the larger groups are terrorising them.
- People in Afghanistan don’t have the freedom that we have in Sweden today. They cann’t say their views and stand up for them. Their voice is not heard. Those in power they determine the most and they want the people to be quiet and just observe their laws and regulations.
- There are also people who are economic migrants. The most people cann’t manage theirself because there is no job, and no food to eat. many Afghans are futile and don't know what to do or how they have to manage their lives.

These reasons are mostly my own opinions and thoughts.

At one time there were many swedish people that left Sweden, they migrated to the United States in the 19th and early 20th centuries, about 1.3 million Swedish people left Sweden. Not only did they leave for the U.S. A, large number of Swedish citizens also left for Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South America, Germany and other countries.

Two of these reasons was, poverty and lack of jobs.
